"Chorus of Turkish" made a concert "Songs of Victory" in Vienna

VIENNA, 11 May. /TASS/. Soviet songs of the Great Patriotic War were performed on Saturday by the Russian Music team "choir of Turkish" and art group Soprano in Vienna. The concert "Songs of Victory: Unity Songs" at the Schwarzenberg Square at the monument to Soviet soldiers-liberators organized on the occasion of the 74 anniversary of the victory, reports the correspondent of TASS.
The musicians performed well-known compositions "May Waltz", "Dark Night", "Smuglyka", "Three Tankista", "I Rode from Berlin", "whether the Russians want War", as well as other songs of the Second World War and modern hits. The open-air concert was able to visit all comers for free. In total, this evening he gathered on the square more than 3 thousand. Citizens from Russia and CIS countries, as well as other guests and residents of the Austrian capital. The rain with the wind could not stop the concert, because many spectators prudently brought umbrellas with them. The song "Victory Day" was performed by Russian ambassador to Austria Dmitry Lubinskiy on stage with the musicians. The Tour "Songs of Victory: Unity Songs" began on May 1 in Rome, then the musicians performed in Paris, Washington, New York, Toronto, Warsaw, Budapest, Moscow, Prague. After Vienna, "Turkish choir" and Soprano will go to Berlin, Qingdao, Beijing and Minsk. The teams perform in 14 cities of 12 countries on two continents.

"Songs of Victory"-a project of the Government of Moscow, implemented with the support of MFA and Ministry of Culture. It was launched to the 70th anniversary of the victory in 2015. A public concert then took place on Pokgornaya Gora in Moscow. In 2016, "Turkish Choir" on May 9 made a program in Sevastopol, in 2017-in the square Genenmenmarkt in Berlin. In 2018, in honor of the 73 anniversary of the victory, the musicians gave concerts in Russia, France, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Belarus, Israel and the USA.
